Fairfield forecast: Storms may wash out sunny skies

The day has dawned with sunny skies across southwestern Connecticut, but the National Weather Service predicts the pleasant conditions may not prevail.
Showers may develop later this morning, and after 1 p.m., there is a chance of steadier rain -- perhaps thunderstorms -- that could generate small hail and gusty winds, the NWS says.
The daytime high temperature is expected to be about 65 degrees. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low temperature around 49.
Tomorrow will follow a similar pattern, the NWS predicts. The day will begin under mostly sunny skies, but there is a chance of showers after 1 p.m. The high temperature will reach about 67 degrees. Nighttime skies will be cloudy and the temperature will fall to about 50 degrees.
Monday, according to the weather service, should be sunny, with a high temperature near 67.
Tuesday is expected to be similarly nice: sunny, with a high near 65.
