After a foggy start, showers -- and possible thunderstorms -- are in the forecast today for southwestern Connecticut.

The odds of precipitation are about 80 percent at some point through this evening, the National Weather Service predicts, with a daytime high temperature in the mid-60s.

More showers and fog are expected tonight, with an overnight low temperature in the low-50s.

The sun should break through tomorrow, with bright skies most of the day and a high temperature of about 66 degrees. The wind will be from the southwest at between 8 and 16 mph. Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 45.

The NWS has an upbeat outlook for the weekend, with both Saturday and Sunday expected to be sunny with high temperatures in the 60s.
