Fairfield forecast: Sun giving way to clouds

Sunshine early today will gradually cloud over, according to the National Weather Service.

The daytime high temperature in southwestern Connecticut will rise to the upper-60s, with a south wind between 6 and 9 mph.

Overnight, there is a chance of showers, mainly after 1 a.m., as the temperature falls to the low-50s. There will be a south wind between 7 and 9 mph.

Showers are likely tomorrow, mainly after 2 p.m., as the temperature rises to the low-60s. Showers, along with a possible thunderstorm, are expected tomorrow night with a low temperature in the upper-50s.

On Wednesday, showers and thunderstorms are likely with the temperature rising to the upper-60s under cloudy skies. More unsettled conditions are probable Wednesday night, as the temperature falls to the low-50s.

The outlook for Thursday, the weather service says, is for mostly cloudy skies and a high temperature in the low-60s.
