Fairfield forecast: Sunny and chilly

Yesterday's gray skies are clearing today, but the sun won't bring warmer weather to southwestern Connecticut.

The National Weather Service says the daytime high temperature will rise to only about 50 degrees, with a north wind 9 to 11 mph.

Tonight also will be clear as the temperature dips to about 30 degrees. There will be a northeast wind around 7 mph.

Tomorrow also will be sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-40s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-30s.

Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 50 degrees. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-30s.

Saturday is expected to be sunny again, with a high temperature in the low-50s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-30s.

The outlook for Sunday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny and temperatures rising to about 50 degrees.
