Fairfield forecast: Sunny but cold

Today will be sunny but cold, according to the National Weather Service, a trend expected to prevail through the weekend and Monday's observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The daytime high temperature in southwestern Connecticut today is not expected to rise above freezing, topping off at about 30 degrees. There will be a north wind between 8 to 13 mph.
Tonight, clouds will move in and the temperature will drop to a low of about 20 degrees, with a southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Tomorrow should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-40s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 30 degrees.
On Sunday, skies should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature about 40 degrees. Sunday night will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 20 degrees.
Monday, the observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, will be partly sunny, with a high temperature about 30 degrees. The low temperature overnight Monday will drop to the high-teens, the NWS says.
The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny and temperatures in the 20s.
