Fairfield forecast: Sunny, but snow likely later

Today promises to be sunny in southwestern Connecticut, but there is snow on the horizon, according to the National Weather Service.
The daytime high temperature is expected to rise to the upper-40s, with a west wind 6 to 13 mph.
Overnight, there is a slight chance of snow after 3 a.m., as clouds move in and the temperature drops to a low in the low-30s. There will be a northwest wind around 5 mph, becoming calm in the evening. The chance of precipitation is 20 percent, the NWS says.
Tomorrow, snow is expected before noon, then likely changing to rain later as the temperature rises to a high of about 40 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Tomorrow there is a chance of snow, mainly before 9 p.m. Skies will be cloudy, with a low temperature in the upper-20s. Chances of precipitation are about 30 percent.
On Wednesday, it will be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 40 degrees. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature around 30 degrees, the NWS says.
Thursday should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 40 degrees. Skies will turn partly cloudy by night, with a low temperature in the mid-20s.
The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, is partly sunny and temperatures in the upper-30s.
