This winter's warm-weather trend crests today with temperatures near 70 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies across southwestern Connecticut will be partly sunny most of the day, although there is a slight chance of showers after 3 p.m. The high temperature will reach the upper 60s, and it will be breezy, with a west wind 9 to 12 mph, increasing to between 17 and 20 mph. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph.

Showers are possible overnight, as the temperature falls to a low of in the low-40s. There will be a west wind 10 to 17 mph, becoming north, but gusting as high as 33 mph.

Tomorrow should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-40s. Nighttime should be mostly clear, with a low in the upper-20s.

Saturday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 45 degrees. It will be clear overnight, with a low temperature in the low-30s.

The outlook for Sunday, according to the weather service, is for sunny skies with a high temperature in the upper-50s.
