A Euclid Avenue man faces drug charges after police followed him from a house in Bridgeport, where police said drugs were being sold, to his home in Fairfield.

According to the report, detectives when to the Bridgeport address Thursday based on investigative information. They saw James Sadowski, 28, leave the house and drive to his Fairfield home, police said. Officers knocked on his door and were invited in, the report states, though Sadowski appeared nervous, police said.

Sadowski wouldn't take his hands out of his pockets, police said, but when he finally did, he dropped five packets of heroin onto the floor, according to the report.

He was charged with illegal possession of narcotics and released on a promise to appear Jan. 19 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
