NORWALK — A 34-year-old man Fairfield man turned himself in to Norwalk police and was arrested on charges that included fourth-degree sexual assault, following an incident at a Strawberry Hill Avenue home Monday night.

At around 9 p.m. police were called to the home on a complaint of a disturbance. The female complainant told police that a man she had been in a relationship with had come to the residence to talk about their children.

The victim told police that the man, whom she identified as William Sellers, had touched her inappropriately. Police say that when she struck Sellers after the unwanted contact, he attacked her physically.

The woman told police that Sellers attempted to choke her before smashing her cell phone and leaving the scene.

Sellers, 34, of Massachusetts Avenue, Fairfield, was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

His bond was set at $5,000. Sellers appeared in court Tuesday for arraignment.
