Chris Stern scored off a pass from Chris Santello with 1:47 left to play to give the Fairfield Warde/Ludlowe boys ice hockey team a 5-4 win over Westhill on Saturday at Terry Connors Rink.

Santello found a loose puck at center ice and wound up in a 3-on-1 situation. Santello backhanded a pass parallel to the crease to Stern, who flipped the puck past Vikings goaltender Zach Phillipson.

Santello, Tom Kryspin, Brian Underkofler and Mathiu Larouche also had goals for Fairfield, which improved to 4-2.

Sophomore goaltender Connor Frawley stopped 15 shots for Fairfield.

Fairfield, which scored on three power plays, led 4-0 with 2:52 left in the second period before Westhill mounted a comeback.
