Joshua Hauslaib, 25, of Lindburg Court, was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right after he drove into a utility pole early Friday on the Post Road near Kings Lane, snapping the pole in two and lifting it out of the ground.
The accident occurred around 1:42 a.m. Police said Hauslaib failed field sobriety tests and was released on a $100 bond to his father. He is scheduled to appear July 24 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
