Fairfielder named Bridgeport Hospital Physician of the Year

He was selected for the award based on feedback in patient satisfaction surveys and letters from satisfied patients, the hospital said.
More than 50 other physicians were also recognized for achieving patient satisfaction survey scores in the 90th percentile or higher.
In 1985, he joined the medical staff of Bridgeport Hospital, where he has helped spearhead innovative neurosurgical care for nearly 30 years.
Most recently, he has been one of the region's pioneers in the use of the O-arm/Steath Station navigation system, which guides surgeons through complex neuro-spinal procedures.
