A Fairfield music journalist has written a do-it-yourself book for musicians trying to get careers off the ground in a competitive industry.
Adam Bernard's self-published book, "Muscle for Your Hustle: What Every DIY Musician Needs to Know," is available through Lulu.com.
The book is divided into sections on promotions, performance and people skills and includes 22 articles, Bernard said in a news release.
Bernard has written more than 200 articles for national and local publications, according to the release, including 11 national-magazine cover stories. He is the interviews editor for RapReviews.com and creator of the music and entertainment blog AdamsWorldBlog.com.
He also hosted a show on Fairfield University's WVOF-FM radio station.
The book has been featured on the music websites Hypebot.com and SOHH.com, according to the release.
Bernard graduated from Fairfield Prep in 1996 and holds a bachelor's degree from Hofstra University and master's degree from Fairfield University, the release said.
