A Fairfield University student was charged after he tried to buy alcohol at the Tunxis Hill Package Store using false identification, police said.

Henry Soumine, 19, of Weston, Mass., was issued a misdemeanor summons for misrepresentation of age to procure alcohol. He was released on a promise to appear Nov. 7 in Bridgeport Superior Court.

According to the report, the driver's license Soumine used to try to prove he is old enough to buy several cases of beer was from Ohio, but Soumine could not tell the store owner his address. When the store owner said he was calling the police, Soumine fled.

He was tracked down at the college and agreed to meet an officer, which is when he told the officer he got the fake ID from an Internet site for $100.
