The first full day of classes all students in Fairfield public schools in the 2013-14 academic year is Thursday, with sixth and ninth graders reporting to their schools for orientation Wednesday.
Teachers report back to school Monday, and will have a professional development day Tuesday.
Enrollment for the new academic year is projected at more than 10,200 students.
The district has an approved budget of $151.1 million for the year.
There are 960 certified staff members and 45 administrators., which includes Central Office staff.
The Board of Education will hold its first meeting of the school year at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 in the Board of Education offices on Kings Highway East.
