Writer Rochelle Bilow will discuss her soon-to-be-released first book today (Monday, Sept. 22) at the Fairfield Public Library.

"The Call of the Farm," which will be available Oct. 1, will be the topic of Bilow's 7 p.m. presentation in the Rotary Room of the library, corner of Old Post and Post roads.

Subtitled "An Unexpected Year of Getting Dirty, Home Cooking and Finding Myself," the book is based on Bilow's experiences when she was assigned to write an article about a small, "full-diet" farm in central New York, according to library publicity.

The program will include a food demonstration.

Advance registration is required because of limited space. For more information and to register, call 203-256-3160 or visit www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org.
