The Lions Gate Trio will perform a free chamber music concert Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Fairfield Public Library.

The concert is scheduled for 3 p.m. in the Memorial Room of the main library, 1080 Old Post Road.

The ensemble is the library's trio in residence, and plans to play selections from Beethoven's Trio Opus 1, No. 2; Maurice Ravel's Trio; and Rebecca Clarke's Trio; the library said in a news release.

Seating is limited, and early registration is recommended.

Pianist Florence Millet, violinist Katie Lansdale and cellist Darrett Adkins have performed nationally and internationally, recording and working with young musicians in educational settings.

The trio is in residence at both the University of Hartford's Hartt School of Music and the library.

The concert is part of the library's Soundwaves series and is underwritten by the Friends of the Fairfield Public Library, according to the release.
