A free program on how to answer and ask common questions in job interviews is planned Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m. in the Rotary Room of the Fairfield Public Library main branch, 1080 Old Post Road. Advance registration is required.
A career counselor from the state Department of Labor will help attendees assess their abilities for field questions and ask them. Tools and techniques for improving interview style also will be discussed.
The program is part of the library's Jobs 2013 series. Additional programs in the series will include: Advanced Resumes, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m.; and Over 40 and Looking for Work, Dec. 2, 10 a.m.
The talks are supplemented by the library's networking group, an additional LinkedIn networking group, one-on-one career counseling sessions, a Job Search Boot Camp, podcast recordings of more than 100 past presentations and an updated collection of job-hunting books.
