A concert melding music, dance, poetry and visual arts is scheduled Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Pequot Library in Southport.

The Fusion of the Arts program is planned at 3 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Schubert Club of Fairfield County, the concert will include both instrumentals and vocals.

"Joy" is the program theme and will be reflected in the reading of "World's Joy" to music by Hindeman, plus performances of Bach's "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" for violin and an improvisation of Beethoven's "Ode to Joy." The Beethoven piece will include the Greenfield Hill Congregational Church choir and Darwin Shen on violin.

The plein air painter Zufar Bikbov will display several of his works while "Jeux de Plein Air" by Tailleferre is performed. Rossini's "Overture for 8 Hands" will be performed on piano. The "Butterfly Waltz," has been choereographed by and will be danced by 14-year-old Ingrid Wong, a student of the New England Dance Academy.
