Garden club event to host speaker

Greenfield Hill Garden Club's "Festival of Tables" event will host speaker Carol King Platt, a master garden landscape designer, 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 651, Pequot Ave., Southport.

Platt, former contribution editor to House and Garden Magazine, will discuss "Spring Floral Designs for the Home" and create several arrangements to be raffled off.

The festival will feature themed flower arrangements and table settings, with table viewing starting at 10:30.
