Fairfield Grace United Methodist Church has planned its annual Summer Fun Fest for Saturday, June 2, on the church grounds at 1089 Fairfield Woods Road.

The family event is planned for 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will feature inflatable rides, kids' games, vendors, a silent auction and entertainment, the church said in a news release.

A tag sale featuring items for children and adults is planned, and food will be served all day in a grill tent.

Admission is free.

Entertainment will include two shows by magician and balloon artist Bryan Lizotte. Children's author Ryan San Angelo, best known for his book "Eddie Spaghetti," will conduct a reading with music.

Po, the protagonist in the movie "Kung Fu Panda," will make several appearances, and children will be able to meet him. For older kids, an inflatable obstacle course and rock-climbing wall are planned.

Organizations that plan to have booths at the event include the Fairfield Library, Boy Scouts, Thirty-One Gifts, the Cookie Workshop and Donate Life, plus various jewelers and crafters.

The silent auction will feature both products and gift certificates from the vendors and other local businesses and restaurants.

The tag sale will include baby items, toys and games, furniture and other items.
