Connecticut Audubon’s slice of Fairfield forest land will be “Enchanted” on Friday evening for its annual nature-themed Halloween program.
The Enchanted Forest event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., rain or shine, at the Audubon Center, 2325 Burr St.
In addition to Halloween trappings, the event features information about nocturnal animals in their natural habitat.
Children are encouraged to wear costumes, according to Connecticut Audubon publicity, for tours of the Larsen Sanctuary while escorted along a luminary trail by volunteers.
The program also features fall-themed crafts, Halloween snacks and a chance to meet some of the center’s creatures.
Guided walks through the sanctuary leave every 15 minutes beginning at 5:30 p.m., with the last one leaving at 7:30. Advance registration and payment are required.
Ticket prices are: Connecticut Audubon members, $10 for children, $2 for adults; nonmembers, $15 for children, $2 for adults. To buy tickets online, visit www.ctaudubon.org/center-at-fairfield or call 203-259-6305, ext. 109.
