Helen Grecula Wellner

Wellner was a longtime resident of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport before moving to Milford. She later settled in Tequesta, Fla. and returned to Fairfield two years ago. Wellner enjoyed being social and was involved in many activities including bowling, organ playing and line dancing. She was an active volunteer in St. Ann Parish when raising her family. She also like to knit and crochet.
Wellner is survived by her three children, John Wellner, and his wife, Mary, of Fairfield, Charles Wellner, of Fairfield, and Paul Wellner, of New York; five grandchildren, John F. Wellner, of Fairfield, Eileen Wellner, of Fairfield, Anthony Wellner, of Fairfield, Mary Ann Wellner, of Florida and Michael Wellner, of Florida; two great grandchildren Phillip and Preston Wellner; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Ernest Grecula and Richard Grecula.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Jan. 10 at 12:30 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road in Fairfield. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:30 until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
