Holiday magic of 'The Nutcracker' coming to Quick Center

Tchaikovsky's traditional holiday ballet, "The Nutcracker," will be on stage at the Quick Center for the Arts on Sunday, Dec. 15.

A former soloist from American Ballet Theater, Carlos Lopez, will dance the role of the sugar plum fairy's cavalier, and the sugar plum fairy will be danced by Emily Smith, 17, of Westport, in the Connecticut Dance School production.

There will be two performances, at 1 and 4 p.m.

The ballet is recommended for audiences from age 4 through adult.

Tickets are $40 for adults and $25 for children and seniors and can be purchased at the Quick Center box office by calling 203-254-4010, or online at www.quickcenter.com.
