A Smith Street homeowner called police Thursday morning to report an incident regarding the color of her front door that she said “alarmed” her.
According to the report, an “elderly” couple had driven by her house several times, and one day last week, the wife stopped at her house and asked her the name of the color of her door, and about her light fixtures. The woman drove by again Thursday morning, the homeowner said. She told police the woman’s name, and said she’d checked her out online and that she lived on Riverside Drive.
Police went to the Riverside Drive home where the husband said the couple is building a new house on Norcliff Road, and liked the blue shade used on the front door of the Smith Street house. He said they would refrain from bothering the Smith Street woman.
