Alena Dillon, a humor writer and blogger will read from and sign her first book, "I Thought We Agreed to Pee in the Ocean," at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road. Dillon's book is a collection of stories that capture life's absurdities from universal experiences, such as diet frustration, to situations uniquely Dillon's own, such as pounding on the side of a moving Mister Softee truck.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Elizabeth Hastings at ehastings@fairfield.edu or 203 254-4000, ext. 2688.
