Interstate 95's northbound Exit 22 ramp is scheduled to be closed tonight -- and possibly tomorrow -- because of construction work at the highway's rest stop area.

The electrical work by the contractor, Centerplan, will affect traffic only on the northbound side of the Exit 22 interchange, according to the town's Engineering Department.

The northbound Exit 22 ramp from I-95 to Round Hill Road, as well as the access road located at Tomlinson Middle School between Unquowa and Round Hill roads to through traffic from 9 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday and possibly Tuesday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The schedule could be pushed back another night in case of inclement weather.

A detour marked by signs will be posted to direct traffic around the construction area.

Emergency access will be granted for the access road leading from Tomlinson Middle School on Unquowa Road to Round Hill Road, if required.

For more information, contact the town's Engineering Department at 203-256-3015.
