FAIRFIELD — There was a lot going on at the Fairfield Museum and History Center this weekend, including a special kind of reunion.

Members of the Butler family returned for a tour of the Sun Tavern—the historic building on the museum’s commons, built circa 1780—which their family and ancestors called home from 1815 through 1978.

“The community is connected through history,” said Walter Matis, program & volunteer coordinator. “That’s a great example.”
