Tumble Jungle -- where kids can go for gymnastics, tumbling, karate, sports, school vacation camps, and birthday parties -- has opened in Fairfield.
Its 12,000 square-foot facility at 111 Black Rock Turnpike has "an inflatable zone," in-ground trampolines, a foam cube pit, a 50-foot zip line and other gymnastics equipment, according to owner Jed Morin. Among the programs offered are parent/tot programs, drop-in programs, and Parents Night Out, which has proven to be popular at the other two Tumble Jungle locations in Norwalk and Newtown.
Morin and his partner, Steve Krivoshik, opened the Fairfield location on Dec. 15. The children's gym and play place is managed by Kim Nezvesky and expected to employ 20 to 25 full- and part-time employees at the Fairfield location when hiring is complete.
"All of Tumble Jungle's programs are designed to develop strength, coordination and confidence, and are a fantastic base for all core athletic development," said Kim Morin, who helps her husband with the business. "Tumble Jungle's success is due in large part to its ageless appeal."
Younger children can start experience Tumble Jungle in Mommy and Me gymnastics classes, and explore the equipment designed for their age group, such as the 30-foot long Tumble Trak, she said. Activities for older children include gliding down the zip line before flying into the in-ground foam-filled pit, and climbing through challenging inflatable obstacle courses.
Tumble Jungle is open for classes and parties Monday through Friday, and on weekends, usually from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
