June Harriet Silos Sokec, 63, of Fairfield, died June 21, 2010, in Bridgport Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Anton Sokec; her two daughters, Tina Marie Ciambriello and her partner, Katerina Papadopoulos of Bridgeport, and Lisa Ann Ciambriello of Fairfield; her siblings, Virgina Marcinowski of Trumbull, Patricia Ann Sniffen and her husband, Elmer of Sandy Hook, Elaine DelVento and her husband, Russell of Easton, John Silos and his wife, Ellen of Stratford, Nicholas Silos of Boynton Beach, Fla.; many nieces and nephews; and her former husband, John Ciambriello of Milford.

In addition to her parents, the late John and Jean Leslie Silos, she was predeceased by one brother, Paul George Silos Sr.

Affectionately known as "June Bug" by her family and close friends, Sokec had been a lifelong resident of Fairfield. She graduated from Andrew Warde High School in 1966, and the Sherwood School of Beauty Culture in 1967.

She was the proud owner and hair stylist of Mr. John's Coiffures in Bridgeport. More recently, she operated a home cleaning service.

Sunning on the beach, cheering on the New York Yankees, or cooking a wonderful meal for her family and friends were all enjoyable past times for June.

Calling hours will take place on Friday, June 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield, with her funeral service to take place at 7 p.m.; all other services will be private.
