Joanne C. Hanley, 65, of Bridgeport, wife of the late Bridgeport police Lt. James J. Hanley, died Feb. 22 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport.

Born March 12, 1945, in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Zaczkowski Zuccalmaglio. A lifelong Bridgeport resident, she worked as a cafeteria assistant at the Blackham Elementary School.

Survivors include her daughters, Dawn Hanley of Bridgeport and Jennifer Moniz of Monroe; a sister, Penny Dabrowski of Fairfield; a brother, Joseph Zuccalmaglio of Florida; a sister-in-law, Sonia Zuccalmaglio of Trumbull; grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Matthew and Jonathon Hanley, Briana Moniz, and Mackenzie and Geoffrey Benevides Jr.; cousins, Denise and John Poppa of Bridgeport, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Kevin Moniz, and a brother, Robert Zuccalmaglio.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave., Ansonia. Burial will be private.
