The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County will host its 21st annual art show, its primary fundraiser, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, March 22, to Sunday, March 24, at Burr Homestead, 739 Old Post Road.
The event will feature original pieces from more than 100 artists, interior design exhibits and an instructional painting demonstration.
A boutique and cafe with a dozen "pop-up" stores with home decor, gift and accessory items for sale will be open Saturday and Sunday.
After a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m. Friday, the event will begin by honoring schoolchildren from Thomas Hooker Elementary School in Bridgeport, who will have their art on display all weekend.
The program will also feature an "Art of the Masquerade" gala from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, that will offer attendees a chance to view and buy art before the weekend rush.
It will also include appetizers, a dinner buffet, an open bar, a silent auction and dancing to a live band. Gala tickets are $115.
Tickets for the show are $7 for adults, and children under 12 are free.
Funds raised by the event through the sale of art and other items will support the league's community projects throughout Greater Bridgeport and volunteer training programs.
