FAIRFIELD — Friends, family, art enthusiasts and collectors all gathered at Southport Galleries Friday evening for the opening reception of Katy Ferrarone’s “Mind Maps” art show.

Presented in the gallery’s freshly renovated 330 Pequot Avenue space, the paintings are described as meditations - a reflection of fleeting thoughts and map of where Ferrarone’s mind travels in the moment. Connecticut-raised, the artist now lives with her husband, Chris, in Singapore. This is her first solo gallery exhibition in the United States.

“Mind Maps” will be on view through Aug. 20.
