A children's field day with an Olympics theme is planned is planned Saturday, July 28, in the parking lot of the fairfield Woods Middle School.

Sponsored by the adjacent Fairfield Woods Library, the activities for elementary-school-age children gets under way at 11 a.m., the library said.

Events planned include a relay race, archery, tug-of-war and other activities. Children may register individually or as a team.

The program is free, and registration is available in-person or by calling the library's children's services desk at 203-256-3160.

Activities for young children and their families are to include a bean bag toss, hopscotch, pin the soccer ball to the soccer player, and other events. No registration is required for the young-children's events.

The Fairfield Woods Branch Library is at 1147 Fairfield Woods Road.
