Here's some scenes from the large volume of book lovers who turned out Friday on the first day of the 52nd annual Summer Book Sale at the Pequot Library.
The sale, one of the largest in the Northeast, continues through Tuesday at the iconic library at 720 Pequot Ave.
The schedule is:
Saturday and Sunday: 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; all items priced as marked.
Monday: 9 a.m-6 p.m.; all items half price.
Tuesday: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; $5 per bag.
