Ask yourself: Do you want a representative who is truthful? Is honest? Doesn't have a hidden adjenda? Does her homework? Checks facts? Is straightforward? If yes, then Sue Brand is the only choice for state representative in the 132nd district.

Sue was a critical-care nurse at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven for 10 years. She also supervised and monitored patients in a cardiac-rehab program, taught critical care curriculum to nurses, and was a guest speaker for a radio program about the future of nursing.

Sue's work ethic carries over from her cardiac-nursing career. As a cardiac nurse she needed to look at all angles, have all the facts, weigh the pros and cons, and make the best decision possible. This is why Sue never cuts corners. Sue has a great head on her shoulders. Doing a first-rate job comes naturally for her.

She has been a resident of Fairfield for 20 years, where she and her husband raised their four children. During that time, Sue has been involved in various positions such as PTA President at Tomlinson during a dangerous occupied renovation. She made sure protocols were followed and children and staff stayed safe. She initiated radon testing and facilitated safety improvements for the TMS auditorium stage.

Currently, Sue is on the Board of Health, the Cooperative Educational Services Board, and the Board of Education. Sue established, for the first time in eight years, the use of a written document for evaluating the superintendent. In June, Sue voted against a raise for the superintendent because school-program cuts had not been restored.

It's clear that Sue doesn't go along with the popular decision when she has good reason and fact to back her up. Just imagine what it would be like to have Sue working for us in Hartford.

On Nov. 6 Sue Brand should be your only choice for State Rep. in the 132nd district.
