Letter: Brand skilled, respects other views

We have a unique opportunity to elect Sue Brand. She has exactly what Hartford needs to serve the people of Fairfield. She has shown her ability to listen and to make decisions. In Hartford, you are part of a team that represents your town, but you have to work with others of diverse views. Sue Brand has demonstrated that common-sense approach to issues. She shows a respect for people who have different views. Sue Brand cares and possesses the skills.

Sue Brand's service to our town began as an elected member of the Board of Education. Her ability to work across the aisle with other members would serve her well in Hartford. She brings a special balance of her personal life, community service and professional life. Sue Brand has received numerous service awards.

Sue Brand has the credentials, the intellectual ability to deal with complex issues, the willingness to evaluate the many items that will need her careful review, and the energy to tackle the issues facing our State of Connecticut.
