The League of Women Voters encourages all citizens to exercise their right to vote. Local elections are just as important, if not more important, than national elections. We hope to see a tremendous turnout this Nov. 3.

Not everyone is aware that redistricting has occurred and that changes to districts and polling places affect many of Fairfield’s voters. Prior to Election Day, the League of Women Voters urges everyone to take a few minutes to determine their district and polling place. It is likely to have changed.

A quick drop-in at the Registrar’s Office in Old Town Hall, 611 Old Post Road, or a quick call to them at 203-256-3115 is all that’s needed. You may also check online at www.fairfieldct.org/wheredoivote.

Information on voter registration can be found at www.fairfieldct.org/vote.

And, remember, if you’ve moved — even within town — you may need to change your registration. The Registrar’s Office can help you with that, too.

Avoid frustration. Support democracy. Check your new voting location. Then vote on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
