I'm proud to support Sue Brand for State Representative in the 132nd district. She is the kind of leader we need in Hartford, completely independent and totally committed to Fairfield.

She has lived in Fairfield with her husband Patrick for 20 years, and their four children attended our public schools.

I met Sue Brand several years ago when I had questions regarding how we could improve the school system in Fairfield. I was more than impressed when Sue took the time to meet with me on multiple occasions, and we also exchanged numerous emails. I found Sue to be extremely personable and passionate about her role on the Board of Education and very well informed about every single aspect of the school system. I have watched Sue throughout the years, at various BOE meetings and other events, and I feel that she is an extremely capable leader who is willing to fight hard for what she believes in. In addition, Sue is a very persuasive, eloquent public speaker who keeps her calm even during the most heated discussions. Sue Brand researches the subject matter thoroughly before forming a final opinion. She cares deeply about Fairfield and at various times, has chaired and volunteered at the following committees:

Chairman of the Fairfield BOE

PTA President of Tomlinson School

Chairman of the Policy Curriculum and Special Programs Committee

Co-chairman of the Strategic Planning Program Committee

Advisory member of the Temporary Building Construction Committee at Tomlinson School

Member of the First Selectman's Feasibility Committee

Member of the Facilities Technology Long Range Planning Subcommittee

I feel confident that Sue Brand is the right person to represent the 132nd district. She will work tirelessly to bring positive change to the town of Fairfield and to our state. I encourage everyone to vote for Sue.
