Letter : Hwang is a beacon of hope

Sen. Tony Hwang is a beacon of hope in a government plagued by inaction and gridlock. He is a bipartisan leader who crosses the aisle often to advocate for the people of Connecticut. Sen. Hwang cares deeply about the issues that affect the real people of Connecticut and works tirelessly for policies that will help his state.
I am lucky to have worked with Sen. Hwang multiple times and have seen first-hand how hard he works on behalf of his constituents. As Connecticut has the fourth highest rate of breast cancer in this country, Sen. Hwang not only has supported my organization, #Cancerland, but also champions for our cause, being involved with both patients and providers. He understands the need for research, particularly top-down research. Sen. Hwang has also been a tremendous support to the Norma Pfriem Breast Cancer Center at Bridgeport Hospital and has devoted so much of his most precious commodity — time — to advocating for our cause.
Above all, though, Sen. Hwang is a good man and great friend. He honestly cares about the people of Connecticut and does all he can to advocate for them. As a woman living with metastatic breast cancer, I can personally attest to Tony’s compassion. He has time and time again shown his support for both women and men who suffer from this disease. I wholeheartedly endorse Sen. Hwang’s re-election and sincerely hope we are lucky enough to have him serve the 28th District for another term.
