I have known Brenda Kupchick for many years. Running a business with her husband, working as a congressional aide for former Congressman Chris Shays, and now representing the General Assemly's 132nd District, Brenda has found the time to help out in countless ways herself.

From volunteer work on the PTA, Pop Warner and Little League, One Voice; Operation Hope, the Center for Women & Families, Fairfield Beach Residents Association, neighborhood watch groups, animal shelters, adopt a pet days; Relay for Life, St. Vincent's Night of Music, Bigelow Tea Challenge, CT Challenge, tons of road races and church picnics, food drives, serving on task forces helping individual residents with problems large and small. If Brenda's not helping out as a volunteer, she's attending and supporting many worthy causes in our town.

Frankly, I don't know where she gets the energy.

Brenda takes her job as a representative seriously, she works long hours in Hartford, learning and leading on issues important to Fairfield. Brenda holds town hall and legislator-on-your-corner meetings, she responds quickly to calls and emails and she really listens.

I hope Brenda can count on your vote on Nov. 6. We know we can count on her.
