Letter: McKinney knows issues, how to solve problems
Updated 9:35 am, Sunday, August 10, 2014
John McKinney has served as state senator for Fairfield, Easton, Westport, Weston and Newtown with integrity, and integrity matters.
John has advocated for common-sense solutions to the problems Connecticut faces. The simple fact is that to tackle a problem, you must first understand the details if you ever going to be successful at fixing it.
I have long admired John McKinney for his command of the issues facing the state of Connecticut and his honest approach to tackling each one.
The problems facing our state require a leader with the deep knowledge and understanding of the history that has put Connecticut's future in jeopardy.
We need a leader who is ready on day one to get to work solving the real problems we face, a leader who genuinely cares about people, a leader who is willing to be honest with people about what is needed to turn our state around.
John McKinney is that leader.
I'm proud to say John McKinney is my senator, and I'm proud to call John McKinney my friend.
I will be proud to vote for John McKinney for governor in the Republican primary on Tuesday, Aug. 12!
