Wow! The town is only raising our taxes another 6.4 percent? Why did they not ask for more 8, 9 or 10 percent? Would it have made any difference?

No one speaks up for this complete disregard for the taxpayer in this town. We can't just go out and vote; we must do more. If things are not going the way we had hoped -- high taxes, out-of-control union contracts, school renovations -- we must speak up. If we don't, the town and the unions just keep asking for more.

Do we the people have any say in union contracts? Do we have any say in the budget process? It's our money. We must wake up and speak up. We must be heard.
