Letter: Vahey a proven advocate for children, education

We moved from Texas back to Connecticut last year, and we chose Fairfield for the quality of life here and to be closer to our families.
I am a parent of children at Sherman Elementary and Ludlowe High schools. I advocate and vote regularly for candidates who understand and resolve the complex issues that impact children in our town.
Cristin McCarthy Vahey, the Democratic candidate for state representative for the 133rd District is one such candidate. Cristin has three children in the Fairfield public schools and has given countless volunteer hours to our schools. As an elected RTM representative, and most recently as a selectman, she has a working knowledge of the issues, and her votes demonstrate her longstanding commitment to quality education for all of our children.
Great public schools will prepare our children for a great future. Sherman and Ludlowe parents, Cristin will serve us well in Hartford as she will be our voice. Please give her your vote on Nov. 4.
