Police are looking for a 2001 purple Lexus that was stolen Tuesday afternoon from gas pumps at Cumberland Farms, 1101 Post Road, while its owner was inside the convenience store.

The car's owner told police she went into the store while the car was still being fueled. The keys were inside the Lexus and while the owner was inside, a man wearing a black winter hat removed the gas nozzle and got in the car and drove away.

The store's surveillance video showed the thief pacing around the Cumberland Farms parking lot before driving off in the Lexus. Police believe the car may be in New Haven, but it was not immediately located .
