The Fairfield Public Library is offering a lecture and demonstration on the use of various e-readers on Wednesday morning, Jan. 23 at the main branch, 1080 Old Post Road.

The program is from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the library's Rotary Room. It is free, but registration is required.

The library said a reference librarian would provide overviews of the Nook, iPod and Kindle e-readers and demonstrate how to download books, music and videos from the library's digital catalog.

Similar sessions are planned Feb. 20, April 24 and May 22.

To register or for more information, visit or call 203-256-3160.
