The Lions Gate Trio will perform a chamber music concert Sunday at the Fairfield Public Library.

The free performance will take place at 3 p.m. in the Memorial Room of the library, corner of Old Post and Post roads. The program is funded by the Friends of the Fairfield Public Library.

The trio will perform Beethoven's "Ode to Joy," as well as other pieces. Interspersed through the music will be readings from Beethoven's letters by New York speaker and arts advocate Lesley Karsten.

Musicians in the Lions Gate Trio include Darrett Adkins, cello; Katie Lansdale, violin, and Florence Millet, piano. Peter Alexander, musical director, will introduce the program.

Founded with cellist Scott Kluksdahl, Darrett Adkins joined Millet and Lansdale in 2011. The group has won the Koussevitsky Award for recording.

Registration is suggested because of limited seating.
