Man accused of passing bad checks

A Norwalk man accused of cashing $8,950 worth of fraudulent checks two years ago was arrested Thursday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
Rashel Williams, 29, was charged with second-degree larceny and second-degree forgery.
During March and April 2008, police said Williams duplicated and cashed four checks belonging to Munson Real Estate on Reef Road. The checks, written out to Williams, were worth $2,900, $2,000, $850 and $3,200, according to the report.
Williams was held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Oct. 9 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
