Naum Medved, 58, of Palomino Pass in Trumbull, was charged with sixth-degree larceny after police said he stole two silver dollars during the Sunday market at Fairfield Ludlowe High School.

A dealer participating the market told police that Medved walked away from his booth with the two coins, valued at a total of $85, without making any attempt to pay for them. The dealer followed Medved, and took down the license plate number for his car, according to the report.

Police traced the registration to Medved's Trumbull address. He told police he threw the coins in some bushes at the school, according to the report.

Medved was released on a promise to appear July 29 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
