Edward Stevenson, 60, of Johnson Street, Bridgeport, entered the Cumberland Farms convenience store, 110 Post Road, just before 1 a.m. Friday and asked the clerk to call 911 so that police would take him to jail. Police found there was a warrant for Stevenson's arrest for a failure to appear and he was taken into custody.
He was held on a $100 bond, and is scheduled to appear Nov. 29 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
